The plight of truthfulness, sincerity, and justice.

In these days truthfulness and sincerity are sorely afflicted in the clutches of falsehood, and justice is tormented by the scourge of injustice. The smoke of corruption hath enveloped the whole world in such wise that naught can be seen in any direction save regiments of soldiers and nothing is heard from any land but the clashing of swords. We beseech God, the True One, to strengthen the wielders of His power in that which will rehabilitate the world and bring tranquillity to the nations.

Yes, and I selected this quote before the current eruption of violence and conflict in Israel and Lebanon... How sad.

But we do have hope. It is amaizing to see on one hand the distructive force, the missiles hitting Haifa and other cities, the air strikes in Lebanon... while there, right there under their nose is the hope for mankind, a constructive force that is bringing the world together in peace, love and untity, which in its core is the recognition of the equality of all the poeple of the world, the foundation for justice for all mankind, the very proof that the world can get along in its great diversity. The contrast is just striking.
