The means to attain true fellowship among mankind

The great question appertaining to humanity is religion. The first condition is that man must intelligently investigate its foundations. The second condition is that he must admit and acknowledge the oneness of the world of humanity. By this means the attainment of true fellowship among mankind is assured, and the alienation of races and individuals is prevented.

Thank you for your post. I think it is important to remember that we simply value unity. We want true fellowship, amity and to unity among all people.

But to establish unity, we need justice. To have justice, we need to have equality. To have equality, we need to remove all forms of prejudice. To remove prejudice, we need to see mankind as one. Our goal and the means should be the same. To establish unity, we need to think and act from the standpoint of unity, which will include all that is mentioned above. We do so as people who believe in these values, and not because we have other motives such as to convert others. Sure, we would like more people to know and understand the message of Baha'u'llah, but our actions to promote unity and fellowship, justice and equality is done so because we believe this is the right thing to do and it is what will help heal humanity. I am sure people from all religious backgrounds could agree to this, as long as "conversion" is not their motive. The quote here makes the "what," "how," and "why" very straightforward and clear, doesn't it?
